35 And the people stood there watching, but the rulers also ridiculed him,[a] saying, “He saved others; let him save himself, if this man is the Christ[b] of God, the Chosen One!” 36 And the soldiers also mocked him, coming up and[c] offering him sour wine 37 and saying, “If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself!”
